Old Cromwell Town

Many historical buildings have been lovingly and painstakingly relocated, restored and recreated to keep the history of Cromwell alive.

When the Clyde Dam was built the subsequent flooding of the Valley and creation of Lake Dunstan saw many orchards and original parts of the Cromwell Township submerged under meters of water.

‘Old Cromwell’, as it is called, is mainly home to local craft people and has a café as well. Old Cromwell is located at the end of Melmore Terrace. It is open 7days and entry is free.
